What it does
Point it at your library, press play, and let it deal with the boring parts.
Plays & remembers
Plays with mpv, resumes right where you left off, and keeps track of what you've watched.
Skips intros & credits
Found automatically by matching audio across a show's episodes, or from the file's own chapters. It copes when a show changes its intro halfway through.
Descriptions & ratings
TMDB descriptions, ratings and episode names, shown for whatever you have highlighted.
A tidy library
Renames files to a clean convention with preview and undo, finds duplicates, and keeps a review queue for anything it isn't sure about.
Safe deletion
Two-step deleting with a waiting period, so one wrong key never costs you an episode.
TV Mode & shuffle
Endless random episodes and movies with nothing skipped, or shuffle a single folder.
Neon on-screen messages
Centred neon cursive with hearts, a pause banner that stays put, and an idle screen of drifting orbs, floating hearts and rotating tips.
Health checks
Scans files for errors, keeps logs, and builds a redacted bug report you can share without leaking anything private.
Make it yours
An appearance tab in settings lets you choose your screensaver (floating hearts is just the start) and the font used for on-screen messages.
Your phone is the remote
A web page on your phone controls playback and browses your library, over your home network or Tailscale. Sign in with a passkey, so no passwords. It works with both the Linux and Windows versions.
Get glowrom
Pick your flavour. It runs on your own machine and your files stay yours.
Installer
The usual setup wizard. Starts with Windows and lives in the tray. Windows 10 or newer.
Coming soonPortable
Unzip it anywhere and run it. Nothing gets installed, handy for a USB stick or a locked-down PC. Windows 10 or newer.
Coming soonLinux
The original: a terminal app plus background services for your home server. Needs mpv, ffmpeg and systemd.
Early builds are unsigned, so Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
